ENGL 2620 - British Literature II 4.5 Credits Students explore British literature from the late 18th century to the present and study the ways in which Britain developed its literary identity over the course of this period. The literature written during this period brings to life the social, cultural, and political climate of the time. By critically reading, discussing, and responding in writing to a variety of British texts written since 1785, students explore themes such as the conflict between nature and industrialization, progress, faith, freedom, and identity.
Prerequisites: (1) Level II English; or ENGL 2450 ; or instructor approval must be completed prior to taking this course. Lec: 4.5 Lab: 0 Cr: 4.5
