Content creation is a fast-growing creative career. Students will produce, manage, and optimize various media content for social media platforms and formats, including writing, editing, and proofreading. Students will be adept at creating engaging and informative content, as well as understanding SEO (search engine optimization) principles. Students will be able to collaborate with others, analyze content performance, and adapt to the evolving needs of target audience.

To earn this degree, a student must complete all required courses.

  1. Students will learn how to design visual content including graphics, photography, and video content for social media platforms.
  2. Students will learn photography, photographic editing and basic graphic design principles.
  3. Students will learn video production, editing, lighting and storytelling using video and audio.
  4. Students will learn marketing, content strategy and planning campaigns for popular social media platforms.
  5. Students will learn SEO (Search Engine Optimization) principles and how to use the information for different social media platforms. 
  6. Students will learn legal, copyright and ethical considerations involved in content creation.
