This career certificate is for students wanting to learn general welding processes, procedures and techniques. Students learn the process, set-up, and weld using GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW.

To earn this degree, a student must complete all required courses.
Total credit hours required to complete this Career Certificate: 33.0

  1. Introductory courses to be prepared for working in the welding industry.
  2. A pathway goal of completion while still in high school.
  3.  Most common processes and welding positions for industry in our area.  
  4. Understanding and skill set in GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW welding processes.
  5. Will be able to setup GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW welding equipment.
  6. Will be able to make sound welds in all positions using GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW.
