Advanced Firefighter Operations (FSACE)

This certificate of achievement builds upon the skills students learned in the Basic Firefighter Operations courses. This set of courses prepares students for fire protection hydraulics, water supply, and fire investigation. Students have the opportunity to practice fire investigation skills techniques and water access operations on the fire ground.

 

Graduation Requirements
To earn this certificate, a student must complete all required courses.
Total credit hours required: 57.5

Note: All required classes for the FSACE certificate must have a grade of C or better to graduate from the program.

Advanced Firefighter Operations (FSACE) 

The following plan is designed to be the most direct path to degree completion and is based on a fall quarter start. Students are expected to meet with their student success navigator or advisor to plan a customized course schedule that meets their specific needs. Program Level Student Learning Outcomes

  1. To prepare students for the lifesaving role(s) of Firefighter, Apparatus Engineer, Inspector, Investigator, Company Officer, Chief Officer and advocates involved in Fire Prevention and Protection.
  2. To provide students the ability to actively particapte in hands-on, real-world firefighter experiences in the 4 county community area.
  3. To prepare Fire Science students to assume an active role in the field of Firefighting, Emergency Medical Support, Technical Rescue, and Hazardous Materials Responses.
  4. To continue to build positive, encouraging and supporting relationships with all area Fire Departments and Public Safety Agencies to provide safe, relevant continuing educational opportunities to better prepare first responders in their communities.
