Plumbing Apprenticeship - Pre-Apprenticeship Plumbing (ARPCE)
The following plan is designed to be the most direct path to degree completion and is based on a fall quarter start. Students are expected to meet with their student success navigator or advisor to plan a customized course schedule that meets their specific needs. For more information or assistance with registering, please call 531-622-2400.
Program Level Student Learning Outcomes
- Install a basic plumbing system consisting of waste, vent, and water piping.
- Obtain OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Card.
- Demonstrate safe operation of trade associated tools, such as, pipe machines, cordless PVC/copper cutters, right angle drills, cast iron snappers, torches, and saws.
- Identify and install components of residential and commercial plumbing systems, such as cast iron, copper, PVC, ABS, and CPVC pipe and fittings.
- Enroll in MCC’s Plumbing Apprenticeship Program with 75 hours of credit towards the City of Omaha’s required 696 hours class time to sit for the City of Omaha Journeyman Plumbing test.
