Graduation Requirement: 31.5 credit hrs.
Students will acquire a background in cybersecurity related to information, software, systems, users, and organizations including aspects of policy, human factors, and impact on society. This program focuses on communication skills to explain technical and complex cybersecurity topics to non-technical persons, documentation, information technology, protecting network systems, securing system devices, information assurance, incident reporting, forensics and legal topics related to cybersecurity. In addition, students must demonstrate ethical conduct and integrity for the cybersecurity industry.
This is a level II certificate in the Information Technology Associate In Applied Science degree that must be completed after or concurrently with the Information Technology Technician (TETCA) career certificate.
Note: This is a level II certificate is part of the Information Systems and Technology concentration within the AASIT degree. It must be taken after or concurrently with the Information Technology Technician (TETCA) certificate. This certificate can also completed by students enrolled in the Information Technology - Cybersecurity (ITCYO) AAS degree. Due to required course pre-requisites, this certificate cannot be completed on its own.
