HLTH 2988 - Healthcare Leadership 4.5 Credits
Students learn essential leadership skills that healthcare executives use make thoughtful decisions about their organization’s mission and goals, and properly allocate resources to achieve those directives. The course will focus on valuable healthcare leadership skills including the ability to delegate, inspire, and communicate effectively. Other healthcare leadership traits include honesty, confidence, commitment and creativity.

Course Objectives
- Students learn how to be an effective leader through skills obtained through communication, empathy, strategic planning, and creativity.

- Students learn how to effectively handle conflict resolution and negative feedback.
- Students describe how to be a mentor, recognize potential, and effectively delegate tasks.
