HLSM 2030 - Advanced Floral: Weddings

Students will learn and use design skills to create advanced floral compositions for use in a variety of wedding settings. Students will learn the specialty flowers, foliage and hardgoods used in the wedding industry. Students will learn about different types of wedding ceremonies, complete a bridal consultation and create a contract for delivery of services.

Course Objectives

Discuss wedding sites and types of wedding ceremonies
ID, properly name and process flowers/foliage used in wedding designs
Create a variety of wedding flower designs
Complete initial bridal consultations & wedding flower order forms
Create recipes for wedding flowers and calculate cost of each design
Create a basic wedding contract to include pricing of all designs, services provided and an event timeline
Create assigned designs based on a given budget, bride consultation and order form
