CULI 2710 - Food Preservation 4.5 Credits
Students develop an understanding of traditional food preservation methods, creating a variety of value-added products safely within local food code regulations.
Prerequisites: (1) CULI 2610 or CULI 2650 must be completed prior to this course.

- Demonstrate understanding of how to apply local food code regulations to food preservation methods.
- Identify and apply a variety of food preservation techniques.
- Justify product & labor costs of different value-added products.
- Implement and evaluate current sustainability methods.
- Create and evaluate a variety of preserved foods.
