PSPT 1200 - ATV, UTV, and Snowmobile Systems


6.0 Credits

Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining common ATV (all-terrain vehicles), UTV (utility-task vehicles), and snowmobile system issues is the main classroom/lab focus. Students obtain hands-on experience with electrical, fuel, suspension, and accessory systems. Accessory installation and Maintenance Procedures are integrated.

Prerequisites: (2) PSPT 1000 and PSPT 1100 must be completed prior to taking this course.

Course Objectives
  1. Synthesize knowledge and skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair common ATV, UTV, and snowmobile problems safety.  
  2. Inspect, analyze, and repair cooling, fuel, and electrical systems
  3. Compare, contrast, and install the various types of ATV, UTV and snowmobile accessories.  
  4. Perform needed replacement and/or repairs to an ATV/UTV and snowmobile chassis components.  
  5. Inspect, analyze, and perform maintenance procedures needed for ATV/UTV and snowmobile performance
