PSPT 1110 - Introduction to Powersports Fuel Systems 4.5 Credits
This course will introduce the student to basic carburetors, fuel pumps and EFI systems used on various powersports equipment. The focus is on component identification and the function of the component in the system. This course also covers the current fuel recommendations and emissions for today’s modern powersports equipment.
Pre/Corequisite: (1) PSPT 1000 must be completed prior to or at the same time as this course.

Course Objectives
- Identify and explain the operation of each fuel delivery component.
- Develop knowledge and skills to perform fundamental carburetor services and repairs.
- Describe the operation of the carburetor circuits.
- Disassemble, inspect, and replace parts on a carburetor correctly.
- Reassemble and make appropriate adjustments on a carburetor.
- Identify and explain the fuel basics for Electronic Fuel Injection Systems.
