TTEN 2230 - Electrified Power Trains 5.0 Credits
Students are introduced to hybrid vehicles and associated hybrid systems. Students learn to identify specific hybrid vehicle high voltage components. Students will also learn proper hybrid vehicle service and maintenance procedures.
Prerequisites: (1) TTEN 2120 must be completed prior to this course.

Course Objectives
- Demonstrate proper hybrid high voltage system safety procedures.
- Identify and describe hybrid battery construction and operation. Demonstrate proper diagnosis of hybrid battery system faults.
- Identify, describe, and properly diagnose components related to hybrid inverter/converter, interlock, charging, cooling and high voltage wiring systems.
- Demonstrate proper fault diagnosis of hybrid motor/generator systems, hybrid internal combustion engines, and hybrid system no start concerns.
- Identify and describe hybrid vehicle HVAC and brake system components and operation.
