INFO 1265 - Practicum: Applications

Students develop an instructional technology and design project by applying principles of design to develop a learning/training program to meet needs of an assigned “real world” case study. In the “real world” case study, students use technology to create a multimedia product to address the needs of learners, establish a plan for effective use and management of technology, assess learning and evaluate the learning/ training program.

Course Objectives
  1. Conduct a needs analysis in a real-world work or learning environment to identify a problem that can be addressed with e-learning instruction/ training.
  2. Outline an instructional technology and design project to serve as a technology-supported solution for an identified problem in a real-world work or learning environment.
  3. Develop an instructional technology and design project for an identified problem in a real-world work or learning environment by applying instructional technology and design methodology for a diverse group of learners.
  4. Implement an instructional technology and design project
  5. Evaluate the quality of an instructional technology and design project with a quality assurance tool
