HUMS 1160 - The Humanities and Food Culture 4.5 Credits
Students will explore the humanities and food culture from various regions around the world. Humanist expressions through the fine arts, literature and poetry, philosophy and religion, and the performing arts reflect the uniqueness of a culture, in the same way that food culture is distinct. The two components of the classroom will engage in both cultural aspects. In lecture, students will be introduced to a sample of the humanities of various regions around the world. Lab work will complement that exploration with a study of the cuisine of each respective region.
