INFO 1261 - Instructional Technology and Design Tools

Students investigate emerging technology tools used to design and deliver multimedia instructional materials for teaching and training in a variety of modes and settings, including online and face-to-face format. Students also examine tools in assessing and evaluating learning of instructional and training programs. Tools include systems hardware, software, emerging instructional and communications technologies.

Course Objectives
  1. Identify technology tools associated with instructional technology and design
  2. Describe theory and best practice related to using technology tools for learning/ training
  3. Appraise a variety of technology tools for learning/ training
  4. Evaluate ethical, legal and social equity issues related to using technology for learning/ training
  5. Apply best practice and theory to develop a learning/ training product using a technology tool
  6. Develop a personal learning network (PLN) to keep current with new and emerging technology tools
