INFO 1002 - Introduction to Information Technology 4.5 Credits
Students are introduced to Information Technology vocabulary and fundamentals related to computer hardware, software, networking, security, and basic Information Technology literacy.
Note: This course aligns with and may help students prepare for the CompTIA Tech+ certification exam.

Course Objectives
- Define basic IT terminology.
- Set up a computer workstation and use basic software applications
- Explain the functions and types of devices used within a computer system.

- Configure computers and mobile devices to connect to home networks and to the Internet.
- Identify security issues affecting the use of computers and networks.
