WELD 1300 - Oxy-Acetylene Welding 3.0 Credits
In this course students gain understanding and practical knowledge of the basic skills and uses of equipment used in Oxyacetylene welding. Students learn to weld and braze various joint types in all positions. This is an excellent preparatory class for GTAW welding classes.

Course Objectives
- Discuss operating and safety procedures and principles used in oxy- acetylene welding and brazing.
- Set up, adjust, and shut down Equipment.
- Develop a weld puddle.
- Perform a stringer Bead.
- Weld Fillet welds in multiple welding positions.
- Weld Grove welds in multiple welding positions.
- Perform a brazing Stringer bead.
- Braze a fillet Joint.
- Braze a groove joint.
- Pass Fillet break tests for welding and brazing.
- Weld and Braze Tubing in multiple positions.
