WELD 1261 - Combination Welding - Automotive 3.0 Credits
In this course, students gain an understanding of the various welding and cutting techniques applicable to the automotive industry.

Course Objectives
- Understand the operation and safety aspects of Oxy-Fuel Welding and cutting.
- Weld proper stringer beads using Oxy-Fuel welding equipment.
- Perform a fillet weld with oxy-fuel welding equipment
- Perform a square groove butt joint with oxy-fuel welding equipment.
- Preform stringer beads with brazing rod using oxy-fuel welding equipment
- Braze a Fillet joint with oxy-fuel equipment.
- Braze a square groove butt joint using oxy-fuel equipment.
- Demonstrate proper set up oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
- Perform proper cuts using oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
- Demonstrate proper set up GMAW welding equipment.
- Perform stringer beads and weave beads using GMAW equipment
- Perform Fillet welds using GMAW equipment.
- Proper set up GMAW welding equipment using .035 wire with enough understanding to meet automotive needs.
