WELD 1160 - Welded Sculpture II 3.0 Credits
Students learn the fundamental skills required to create sculptures in steel and copper using gas metal arc welding, plasma cutting processes, and other welding-related metal-working equipment. Students combine these skills with those learned in Welded Sculpture I, applying the basic elements and principles of design and practice achieving unity and harmony to a greater degree as they work on succeeding pieces.

Course Objectives
- Students will gain the knowledge and fundamental skills needed to safely and effectively use Gas Metal Arc Welding and Plasma Cutting equipment.
- Students will gain the knowledge and fundamental skills needed to safely and effectively use related metal working equipment
- Students will demonstrate the ability to use the knowledge they have gained to fabricate and create steel projects.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to use the knowledge they have gained to fabricate and create copper projects.
- Students will apply the basic elements and principles of design to achieve unity and harmony
