VACA 2131 - Video III - Project Development


4.5 Credits

This course serves as a practicum for individual student productions. Students are responsible for the conception, production, direction, and post-production of a storytelling media program. Students achieve competence in planning and executing a script to a final product. The course reviews key production elements and critiques at each stage of the production.

Course Objectives
  1. Plan and prepare preproduction for 2 media projects.
  2. Apply production principles toward completion of two media projects to be included in Portfolio class.
  3. Appraise with instructor the effectiveness of productions.
  4. Research career opportunities preparing for future job or further education.
  5. Prepare to enter projects into media contests and film festivals.
