VACA 2050 - Pro-Tools 4.5 Credits
This course concentrates on the industry-standard Pro-Tools Digital Audio Workstation software and hardware. Students learn how to use advanced Pro-Tools techniques and concepts in the professional recording and editing environments.

Course Objectives
- Explain the components, different systems, and cross compatibility issues within Protools and its hardware.
- Utilize track Properties and Parameter views within Protools
- Use mix automation, plugin automation, session organization, create new mix views and save files properly.
- Apply tempo/time signature mapping and place exact insertion points on the grid of Protools.
- Describe the uses and perils of disc allocation.
- Configure and save personal i/o set-ups in Protools.
- Demonstrate midi Integration, software synths, sound modules, and control surface applications.
