REES 2100 - Real Estate Finance 4.5 Credits
Students explore the overall finance programs and requirements for real estate finance. Exploration includes details of the tools and techniques utilized to finance real estate, including sources of funds, finance calculations, and risk/return analysis. Emphasis is placed on financing specific to residential, commercial/industrial, and income properties.

Course Objectives
- Evaluate the nature and cycle of real estate finance and the role of the money system relative to real estate finance.
- Identify critical components of the primary and secondary mortgage market.
- Compare sources of funds, including institutional, non-institutional, and other lenders and government programs that support and supplement them.
- Describe how real estate loans are processed, including financial calculations and positive and negative activities.
