PHOT 2200 - Portfolio Development and Professional Practices 6.0 Credits
Through critical feedback, students build a comprehensive portfolio of photographic work using skills, processes, and concepts acquired in earlier photography courses. Additionally, students learn ethical, legal, financial, and aesthetic issues pertinent to contemporary photography.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of 12 credits of PHOT electives with a grade of C or better

Course Objectives
- Determine what photographic styles will be most appropriate to the student’s interests and individual career direction.
- Exercise intelligent image-making techniques that will heighten the overall impact of an entry-level portfolio for education or career advancement.
- Create a series of self-promotion materials required for advancement in the photographic field. These will include a resume, cover letter, artist statement, business card, and secondary portfolio format.
- Apply legal, financial, and ethical standards in contemporary image making.
