HVAC 2703 - Building Automation Fundamentals 2

Students continue to develop their understanding of building automation system topics including how to build graphical user interfaces; how to create, test, and respond to system alarms; and how to create and analyze system trends.  Students also further refine the basic system they designed and executed in HVAC 1203 , to be an overall more effective and energy efficient system.

Prerequisites: HVAC 1203  with a grade of C or better

Course Objectives
  1. Review and explain commercial HVAC systems and their components.
  2. Review and discuss Direct Digital Controls.
  3. Review elements of graphical user interfaces.
  4. Review a graphical user interface.
  5. Explain the function and implementation method of system alarms.
  6. Explain the function and implementation method of system trends/histories.
