HVAC 2401 - Commercial HVAC Systems 4.5 Credits
Students learn about equipment used in the commercial HVAC field. The primary focus is on package rooftop unit installation, repair, and service. Students also study water source, geothermal heat pumps, and loop systems.
Prerequisites: (1) HVAC 2101 with a grade of C or better

Course Objectives
- Identify, explain, and test components found on light commercial air conditioning systems.
- Sketch schematics from physicals of single-phase equipment.
- Sketch schematics from physicals of three-phase equipment.
- Analyze, wire, run, troubleshoot, and test air-cooled and water-cooled equipment.
- List voltage, amperage, refrigerant type and amount.
