HVAC 2301 - Advanced Residential Air Conditioning 4.5 Credits
Students calculate heating and cooling needs of various structures using manual and computerized calculator methods. The course covers equipment selection, static pressure, and airflow.
Prerequisites: HVAC 2101 with a grade of C or better

Course Objectives
- Calculate the heat loss and gain of a home using the J-1 form.
- Calculate the heat loss and gain of a home using a computer.
- Demonstrate the use of an air-duct calculator.
- Select appliances for the home.
- Design a duct system, and select registers and grilles for the application.
