EMSP 1124 - Paramedic Part 3 of 4 12.0 Credits
Students are introduced to emergencies involving neurological, endocrine, hematological, immunological, renal (GU), gastro-intestinal (GI), and obstetrical (OB)-gynecological (GYN) body systems. Students will recognize neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, behavioral, toxicological, and infectious disease emergencies.
Advanced anatomical-physiological and pathophysiological concepts will be expanded through lecture, lab, field, and clinical experiences.
Note: NOTE: All paramedic courses must be taken consecutively, completed with a C or above, and taken concurrently with their respective co-requisite clinical/field component in order to sit for the Paramedic certification.

- Apply the identification and management techniques for neuro-endocrine emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for GI-GU emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for OB and GYN emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for Hematology and Immunology emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for neonate and pediatric emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for geriatric emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for behavioral emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for toxicologic emergencies.
- Apply the identification and management techniques for infectious disease emergencies.
- Practice and apply skills from the Digital Skills Tracker also found in the EMSP Handbook for EMSP 1124 as well as 1122 and 1120.
