ELTR 2250 - Commercial Wiring II

This course is a continuation of Commercial Wiring I. Students focus on advanced devices, equipment installations, troubleshooting, and repairs. Further study of calculations for equipment and National Electrical Code are included.

Prerequisites: (1) ELTR 1220  with a grade of C or better

Course Objectives
  1. Demonstrate and practice safety in the workplace.
  2. Adapt to different types of testing equipment associated with the electrical field.
  3. Recognize various devices and equipment based on voltage and ampacity needs.
  4. Apply calculations for motor circuits, including feeders and overcurrent protection.
  5. Recognize various types of lighting applications.
  6. Learn repairs based on types of equipment.
  7. Apply different types of support and anchor systems needed for safe installations of equipment.
