Students learn to analyze various types of vehicle damage, interpret dimension specification sheets, and select and set up various types of measuring systems used for damage analysis.

Course Objectives 1. Inspect a damaged vehicle and correctly identify all the damage.
2. Interpret body dimension information and locate key reference point on a vehicle, using a body dimension manual.
3. Examine the information provided to setup and use various types of measuring systems.
4. Select a tram gauge to measure vehicle length and width damage.
5. Demonstrate how centering gauges are used to determine center line alignment.
6. Read a set of datum line gauges to determine vehicle height damage.
7. Demonstrate the use of a universal measuring system for repairs.
8. Establish set up guidelines for fixture applications.
