LAWS 1110 - Litigation


4.5 Credits
Students review, analyze, and apply the Rules of Civil Procedure used in federal and state court systems to case scenarios to determine jurisdiction, venue, pleadings, motions, discovery, pre-trial, trial, and post-trial procedures. Students learn to perform the basic work of a paralegal in litigation. Students conduct legal research, investigation, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents commonly used in litigation. 

Prerequisites: (1) LAWS 1101   must be completed prior to taking this course.
